MJA members are invited to the launch of 2025 Bupa Wellness Index — which explores the relationship between work and health and how to keep healthier in work for longer. The Index is being unveiled at a panel event at the iconic London Stadium on September 11.
Guests are invited to join us in the Arnold Hill Suite for arrival and refreshments from 09:30am, with a panel discussion running from 10:00-11:00am followed by networking until 11:30am.
The panel discussion will explore new findings from The Bupa Wellbeing Index, a landmark research report started in 2022 that explores the state of the nation’s health and wellbeing through nationwide polling of more than 8,000 UK business leaders and employees on the relationship between health, work, and economic productivity.
Long-term sickness
From the rise in long-term sickness to barriers in accessing occupational healthcare, the panel will explore the mounting challenges facing the UK workforce just ahead of the publication of the Keep Britain Working review, led by Sir Charlie Mayfield.
The discussion will be chaired by Fraser Nelson, one of the UK’s most influential political journalists, and will feature esteemed panellists including:
- Oliver Freedman, Executive Vice President Advisory (APAC & EMEA), The RepTrak Company
- Ben Harrison, Director, The Work Foundation
- Dr Jennifer Dixon DBE, CEO, The Health Foundation
- Carlos Jaureguizar, CEO, Bupa Global, India & UK
With more than eight million working-age people now reporting a long-term health condition limiting their ability to work, and more than 300,000 people reported to leave their jobs due to ill-health, the findings have significant implications for government, businesses and society. The impacts will only be further compounded by an ageing population.
Policymakers and experts
In partnership with the Work Foundation and Health Foundation, Bupa is convening leading businesses, policymakers and experts to discuss how workplace health can be better supported and how policy and employer-led action can help build a healthier, more resilient workforce in Britain.
As part of Bupa’s wider corporate day, the venue will also host appearances by several decorated Paralympians, including, Kadeena Cox OBE, Matt Bush, Charlotte Henshaw MBE, and Dave Ellis MBE. Their presence promises to bring added energy to the day and underscores the event’s broader focus on resilience, performance and wellbeing.
To secure your place, please RSVP to by Friday 29th August.
