Carol is known for a string of health and parenting books, and as The Sun newspaper's doctor. She also broadcasts on TV and radio. After co-authoring the award-winning textbook General Practice at a Glance (2013), she's turned her hand to writing fiction laced with a medical strand. Carol's first two novels One Night at the Jacaranda and Hampstead Fever are contemporary tales set in London, while her latest novel The Girls from Alexandria is an historical mystery inspired by her cosmopolitan background.  Carol teaches at Imperial College Medical School and is a Fellow of Newnham College, Cambridge. She was elected president of the Guild of Health Writers in 2014, is honorary consultant in family medicine to the Twins Trust, and deputy chair of Action on Pre-Eclampsia. Her blog is Pills and Pillow-Talk.
