At the AGM in September Ashley McKimm was elected the new chair. Ashley has served on the committee for 11 years, joining while still a medical student. Today, with a stash of experience in medical journalism and publishing behind him, he has ambitious plans for the association …
Ashley graduated in medicine in 2003, having also gained a qualification in medical journalism from the University of Westminster in 1999. He has been staff and freelance, working on publications such as Men’s Health and the BMJ. He has edited a series of medical textbooks and founded two publications for doctors. He is currently on secondment from his forensic psychiatry post and works as clinical adviser at the BMJ Group and the Department of Health.”
