ABSW Chair Andy Extance presents Dawn with her winner’s certificate

Dawn Connelly won Feature of the Year at the 2023 ABSW awards for  ‘My whole world changed’: the repulsive smells that linger for months post COVID, a riveting feature on Long Covid and its impact on our sense of smell, which was published in the Pharmaceutical Journal.

“A beautifully written tale, was the judges,” the judges said. “We have bizarre signs and symptoms, human tragedy, what we know and don’t know about the neuroscience, and news for sufferers and pharmacists.”

Dawn is a long standing member of the MJA, and one of our most hard-working committee members. As our membership secretary she is also the first of very many talented journalists new members of the Association will meet.
