Simar Bajaj is a student at Harvard University, studying chemistry and the history of science. He is a freelance writer, who has previously written for The Atlantic, TIME, Guardian, Washington Post, and elsewhere. He won the Foreign Press Association award for Science Story of the Year, was runner-up for the Asian American Journalists Association award for Excellence in News Reporting, and was shortlisted for the Association of British Science Writers award for Newcomer of the Year.
