In keeping with the MJA’s motto — independent and bloody minded — none of our sponsors are involved in the creation, organisation or judging process of this independent programme. Their support of particular categories is simply a mechanism for the Association to acknowledge their invaluable support.
The 2024 MJA Awards will see the return of our coveted award for Outstanding Contribution to Health or Medical Journalism. This is presented for the entry voted the best of the best by our panel of judges and comes with an additional £1,000 prize and trophy.
Past winners include a BBC Panorama team led by Alys Cummings, BBC medical editor Fergus Walsh and our current chair, Shaun Lintern.
And with special thanks to our judges, who have the difficult task of choosing the finalists and winners of the hotly contested MJA Awards.
