It’s with sadness that we have to share the news that Sallie Robins, our amazing administrator, is stepping down from October 11.
Sallie has provided stalwart support the for Executive Committee and MJA members for nine years, but has found it increasingly difficult to juggle her much-expanded role at the ABSW and her work for the MJA.
MJA chair, Shaun Lintern says, “On behalf of the MJA I’d like to say a huge thank you to Sallie for all her hard work, and I would also like to say a personal thank you for the support and sage advice she has provided since I became chair.”
MJA vice chair, Jane Symons adds, “Sallie has transformed the day-to-day running of the MJA since she became our administrator nine years ago and has been a key player in making the Association the vibrant and thriving organisation you see today.
“It will be a challenge to find someone to fill her shoes — but this role is a great opportunity for a member or friend of the MJA who is looking to add to a portfolio career.”

Sallie, you’ve been an amazing administrator at the MJA, and the association will miss you big-time. But I’m assuming, and hoping, you will continue the great work you’ve also been doing at the ABSW! If that’s the case, I look forward to seeing you at future ABSW events. And well done for everything you’ve achieved while at the MJA! You’re a legend! Best wishes, Andy Coghlan
Sallie, Lawrence McGinty and I had seen how you managed the ABSW and judged you could do great things for the MJA too. I’m so glad that recruting you ad administrated paid of with such dividends. You have gone from strength to strength, taking the Association with you. Well done. I hope you go on to further successes. PHILIPPA
