New MJA administrator Rosalie Smith
As we all knew, replacing our long-standing administrator Sallie Robins would not been easy. But the EC is delighted to announce that Rosalie Smith has agreed to take on the challenge.
Rosalie is a woman of many talents — she has a masters degree in children’s book illustration, and her career has included fashion design and library work. She also shares Sallie’s love of a spreadsheet and organising information.
Announcing Rosalie’s appointment at the AGM, chair Shaun Lintern asked members to be patient while Rosalie got to grips with the role, and added, “She is keen, enthusiastic and we are looking forward to working with her.”
In recognition of the amazing support Sallie has provided to the MJA, at the AGM outgoing vice chair Jane Symons proposed that Sallie ns be made an honorary associated member of the MJA. The motion was seconded by Shaun and passed unanimously.
