MJA members are invited to attend  a panel event on cancer care which is being organised by Hanover Communications.

The event: ‘The 2025 Cancer Plan: Shaping the Next Decade of Cancer Care and Innovation’ will take place on Tuesday 25th February from 9.45am – 11am at Hanover’s London Bridge offices.

They are bringing together panellists who were responsible for writing or involved in the development of the last cancer strategy in 2015 and continue to have an active role today:

– Professor Peter Johnson, National Clinical Director for the NHSE Cancer Programme
– Sir Harpal Kumar, President, GRAIL, and chair of the 2015 Independent Cancer Taskforce
– Gemma Peters, Chief Executive, Macmillan Cancer Support

Hanover Communications say, “This event comes at a critical time for organisations as they consider their input to the call for evidence to inform the new cancer plan. There are a multitude of voices and perspectives in the cancer community that have valuable insights and ideas: this panel will help attendees consider their contribution and explore common priorities.

“Reflections from the development of previous strategies, what worked well, what they would do differently will help inform a conversation about what is now needed – in the year where comprehensive reform of the NHS is a national conversation.”

Capacity for this event is limited, so if you would like to attend, send an RSVP to by Tuesday 18th February. Hanover will confirm attendance by Friday 21 February.
