Even a picture tells a story — that’s the focus for our meeting on October 15.
A picture paints a thousand words – particularly if it’s an interactive graphic that can present thousands of data points in new and interesting ways.
In his MJA session, Will Stahl-Timmins will show us how interactive visuals can bring text, numbers, and images together to engage, involve and inspire audiences.
Will knows how to visualise medical research data through his work at The BMJ and in a previous academic role at the University of Exeter Medical School. His research at the university focussed on the use of information graphics to explain the effects of climate change on health, and his PhD centred on the evaluation of information graphics in the field of health policy making.
The meeting will be chaired by MJA chair, Lawrence McGinty
