The 2017 MJA Awards will be held on June 22 — so save the date and get those entries in.
Click here for details on how to enter — the deadline is midnight on Wednesday March 22
This year there are 16 awards, including our headline award for Outstanding Contribution to Health or Medical Journalism.
And for the first time, there will be three categories for best news story and best feature: general audience, specialist audience and broadcast
Other categories open for entries are: Case Study, Science Explained, Editor, Freelance of the Year, Mental Health Story of the Year, Newcomer (36 or fewer months in journalism at the closing date), Regional reporter of the year, Charity Writer and Blogger.
The ceremony will again be held at the Barber Surgeons’ Hall in the City of London, and we are hoping that this year the ‘summer’ weather will allow us to enjoy the beautiful herb garden.
If you are interested in supporting the Awards and having the opportunity to meet and network with the country’s leading health and medical journalists, broadcasters and editors, please contact our sponsorship team for more information.
