BOB’s your source of stories on best practice

I’m sure many of you will know Neil Crump from Aurora, but you may not know that he has launched a new digital platform which allows NHS workers to share stories about changes they have made which have improved the care they provide.

I think we all agree there has never been greater need to share knowledge, and it’s  some good stories are bound to come out of this initiative. That’s why — in my capacity as a member, not vice chair — I am posting this message from Neil and attaching the launch press release:

Dear MJA members

Thanks for the opportunity to brief you on BOB.health.

Our free storytelling online tool guides time-stretched NHS staff in capturing their experience around responding to COVID-19. It builds a picture of a project that’s packed full of insights and ideas of value so NHS colleagues elsewhere can learn.

NHS staff need to learn from each other now more than ever – they are working in new and unfamiliar ways. This need will continue for at least the next 12 months as NHS services, including those currently shut down, come back on track but adapted to the COVID-19 threat.

Our call to action for NHS staff is: “If you are working to deal with COVID-19 please share your story via BOB.health and let others in the NHS benefit from your experience.”

Our start-up of six people turned this all around from scratch in three weeks and got input from 21 NHS staff in the lead up to the first COVID-19 wave.
